About me

I completed my training at the renowned Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training (CPHT) School in Edinburgh, where I was awarded my Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (DFSH) in June 2025.

I am fully accredited with the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH). As part of this accreditation, I attend regular professional supervision and keep my practice up to date through Continuous Professional Development (CPD).

My interest in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy began through my own personal experience of its benefits. It helped me to gain a deeper understanding of how the brain works, reduce stress and anxiety, and develop more helpful patterns of thinking and behaviour. This allowed me to cope more effectively with the challenges in my life.

Having experienced these positive changes myself, I feel deeply passionate about the benefits of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy and about supporting others to experience positive change in their own lives.

My practice is based in the beautiful city of Edinburgh, where I offer both in-person and online sessions. Online hypnotherapy is just as effective as face-to-face sessions and allows you to access therapy from the comfort and privacy of your own home.

What is Solution Focused Hypnotherapy?

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (SFH) is a practical, modern, and evidence-based approach that combines the latest neuroscience, solution-focused talking therapy, and hypnosis. It is designed to help you create positive, lasting change in a relatively short period of time. Unlike some traditional therapies, SFH does not require you to revisit past problems or analyse difficult experiences. Instead, we focus on where you are now and where you want to be. Together, we work towards building a clear, positive vision of your future and the steps needed to get there. Throughout the process, you will gain a better understanding of how your brain works, including how stress and anxiety can affect your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. With this knowledge, you can begin to develop healthier, more helpful patterns of thinking and responding. Each session also includes a period of hypnosis (often described as a natural state of focused relaxation or “trance”). This helps calm the mind, reduce stress, and allows the brain to absorb and reinforce positive changes more effectively than talking therapy alone.
